Resounding Joy / Youth Theory Sessions

This group is for junior high and high school students. Over the years this group has taken on various
forms depending on interest and the needs of those involved. Resounding Joy is an ensemble that
performs in Calvary’s worship services and participates in various outreach activities. Some seasons the
ministry takes on the educational form of Youth Theory Sessions. This is an opportunity for those who
want to learn how to or broaden their ability to read music as well as learn music theory. Bells and
handchimes are the instruments used to implement what is being taught during the sessions.

ThIS group meets on Sundays @ 1pm during the fall and spring seasons.

Calvary Ringers

The Calvary Ringers is an auditioned 5-octave handbell choir consisting of collegiate and adult ringers.
The group is featured at Calvary’s annual Candlelight Concert as well as during the Easter season. In
addition to the holiday events, the group performs in various worship services throughout the year. The
Calvary Ringers regularly collaborate with other musicians in the Worship Arts Ministry of Calvary Baptist
Church, ranging from contemporary pieces with Calvary’s worship band to traditional hymns with organ.
The Calvary Ringers regularly team up with Calvary’s Visual Arts Ministry to produce recordings of their
performances.

This ensemble rehearses Tuesdays @ 7pm during the fall and spring seasons.

CHIME

CHIME is a small ensemble that rings in the summer season. They perform at Calvary’s worship
services as well as do recording work with the Calvary’s Visual Arts Ministry. Ringers who participate in
CHIME have knowledge and experience covering a wider range of notes and techniques as well
as excellent reading skills. In addition to performing, CHIME workshops both new and current
compositions.

This ensemble rehearses Tuesdays @ 7pm during the summer season.
